I see no doors or door handles on that “taxi.” I think it’s some weird chicken and egg bait used by some strange moon bred alien. But then I think comics are strange temporal spacial projections from some distant star system.
Look at the drivers eyes! He has no intension of resolving the age old question: Who came first the chicken or the egg. He’s a NY cabbie and will pick up the babe on the corner.
There is no back door to open. Infact there isn’t a back door drawn on the cab. Take a good look there is no line for a door on side of car. Therefore the cartoonist answered the question himself which is there is no correct answer. LOL
Can’t answer to who came first but I’ve learned that the chicken crossed the road to show the possum it could be done. (insert raccoon or armadillo as needed)
And someday maybe some genius that sits around thinking up jokes will answer this question too.

the last time I saw a chicken try to open up a car door , it was a study in futility. I would say an egg would have an even harder time of it…..
