Soldier: The barbarians are at the gate, sire! Intent on rape and pillage, sire! Obama: Oh, gosh, darn - I shoulda stayed in Hawaii. Punk: This time or the first time?
“Death to mommy government controlling my health” ? As opposed to “insurance companies controlling my health”? Having elderly parents and in-laws on Medicare, I’ll take that any day over the crapshoot I have now.
Boehner’s republican coalition, with the addition of the teabaggers, is now as broad as the democrats’…it’ll be interesting to see if he can hold it together…
And good luck repealing health care, which this toon is about.
You don’t have the votes in the Senate and the Prez has the veto even if you did, hence IMPOTENT.
I find it “typical” that my ULTRA-right-wing mother is 98 and dependent on Medicare and Medicaid for keeping her alive and “comfortable”(but certainly not in luxury). Isn’t it interesting how the right “modifies” their view when THEY are the recipients??
Keep government our of medicare???? Isn’t this a “government-backed insurance? Are you saying do away w/ medicare??? I just hope it’s still around when I need it. And, yes, I’ve worked all my life after grad school and saved instead of recless spending. But, me thinks I’ll need this “government assistance” when I reach my “golden years.”

Politics is funny stuff…..the “Death To Your Health” sign is priceless!

Part of being a great politican is timing. Obama should have stayed in Hawaii a lot longer. Maybe 2 more years.

^^ These barbarians have sold their children to destroy something – the American middle class.
^ That ship left port long ago when the Repugs decided to get between women and their doctors.

The barbarians with the battering ram may trip over their pants before they reach the gate. Haven’t seen that much cleavage since the last Playboy.

Shouldn’t that flag, held by one of the “barbarians” have a tea bag on it, instead of an elephant?

Take a look at Ben Sargent’s cartoon, at http://wpcomics.washingtonpost.com/client/wpc/bs/ – it gets to the real center of the problem.

The first cut they should make would be to their salary and benefits.

^^ You should tell Obama to keep the government out of her Medicare! *
So much for “jobs” as a priority. They’re wasting time with pointless gestures of repeal.

^ No, I’m saying Medicare is just fine, we don’t need any nanny government messing with Medicare. Government can never do anything right. *
