Our older daughter has a place like that; it’s in the kitchen, next to the stove. When she’s sitting there with her earbuds in, it’s like a closed door & we don’t bother her (without “knocking”).
You’re only allowed to hide out in the laundry room if you’re the person who does the laundry!
She could hide behind her leaning tree!
It’s not fair to disturb the recuperating space of others.
