Ask him for a ride in his car. That way, if a witness writes down the license plate number, it will be his license plate.

hold up a bank and Woody Allen’s character Vigil Starkwell says to the people in the bank:

“He was here first and we’ve pressed the button to call the cops. If you’d like, you can stay and get a ride with him.”
One does have to wonder if this has actually ever happened for real.
Let the cops decide.
Since the second guy will rob the first, I’d be willing to gentlemanly and step aside to let the other guy go first!
