Now, I don’t presume to know other people’s weather, but I do know that if it’s cold enough for mitts and a scarf, the grass is also not green, or not for long, anyways.
I guess it depends on the hardiness of the populace. I usually don’t need mitts until about -15C or so.
As much as I like Nancy, I’m going to chime in with the folks that don’t like the latest theme of navel-gazing metacognition, but to show how kewl and hip I am, I’m going to complain for different reasons than they do. I don’t like this run because I can’t find the hook for my brilliant comments. You see, reading Nancy is all about ME and what stupidity I can inflict on the GoComics boards. I am here for the comments. So, with that in mind, I’d like to give “props” (whatever they are) to the commentors beneath @ChrisGibson1’s comment at the top of today’s board. I very much enjoyed reading about grass and weather. Really… I’m not being snarky here. Thank you all. I didn’t add a comment because I had nothing interesting to add. You guys have to admit, though, that you got very little help from OJ on that one. That was all you. Pure GoComics goodness. I’m not sure what I want from OJ. Maybe more random number 4s… Nancy vaping… someone in cartoonface… I’m really not sure, but I bet I’ll know it when I see it.
Needing and wanting validation are two very different concepts, Sluggo. I can easily see Nancy being happy as is , but also easily see her thought that more folks validating who she is as being a way for her happiness to further increase.
Unless of course, she streams about her inner feelings about the teacher’s hard lesson about team effort. :)
Nancy wants that metaphorical cake an claims she doesn’t need to eat it too. She likes validation though she claims she doens’t need it. Yet she is persistent about getting it. So maybe she isn’t so sure of her own validation.
