Hmmmm. That fake blond hair looks like it was modeled in the image of General George Armstrong Custer. Thinking that Pocahontas might do as well getting her scalp as Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse did at Little Bighorn in late June of 1876 (a few days before our nation’s centennial).

As the nation was preparing for its 100th year anniversary, the Indigenous Americans were striking their own blow to regain their independence.

Trump is like Custer in so many ways — the overinflated ego, the megalomania.

One big difference: Custer never claimed bone spurs (and even Trump’s bone spurs we now learn were FIBricated).

In what sense is one person more deserving than another? In the video I saw, MAGA kid did not run away, so what is the deal in this comic strip?

Remember it’s ok for MAGA wearing high school kids to do blackface in their cheers because.. reasons.

The kid in question had his own account of events published a day or 2 later on cnn.com. In it, he said that he and his classmates were just standing on the steps waiting for their school bus when this guy showed up and walked right up to him and just stood there beating his drum. The kid, not knowing what to do, tried smiling at him to show that he was of good will and meant him no harm. That was the still shot that got blasted all over the country, interpreted as a “smirk”.

OK, let’s say that the kid’s statement was totally self-serving and that he really was smirking. So what? Illegal? No. Rude? Maybe, but hardly anything that a million other kids his age don’t do every day to the adults in their lives. Why did this thing get blown up so massively?

And, to repeat the point made above, the kid and his classmates didn’t run away. They waited until their school bus DID show up, then got on it in an orderly manner and left, just as scheduled.

They did make fun of the man who just ignored them and did what he came to do. Wouldn’t be the first time that whites made fun of an Indian.

Speaking of battles—-let’s hear it for the “honest Injun” and his brave [get it?] service in Viet Nam. [not]

So… nothing about the fact that Phillips approached the kids and not the other way around?

Or anything about the Black Hebrew group shouting insults at the kids in the first place?
