???? Are you suggesting having many candidates is a problem? If the Dem’s already had an heir apparent you guys would be screaming that they are Un-Democratic.

Most of these candidates are just trying to get some national recognition for future base-building. Those who are truly serious will probably be Uncle Joe and one of the women for a running mate. It would surprise me if it goes any other way. But who really knows what’s in the political wind?

Just don’t bother voting for any of them in a Primary. According to court rulings when Bernie Sanders tried to sue the Party, DNC INC can select any candidate they chose for the Presidential election. They use “Superdelegates” to give the appearance of openness in skewing the election results.

Seems I remember a GOP field so crowded they couldn’t get them all on the stage.

At the current time, the Republicans have a substantial portion of their party who will vote for Trump if he is sitting in a jail cell during the election. They can’t run Trump because they will lose that entire voting block and they couldn’t even get a genuine majority of the vote in the general election when they had them. So, if they run Trump, the Democrats win. If they don’t run Trump, they lose a good sized part of their base and same result, even if Trump doesn’t run as a third party candidate, and does anyone really believe that he won’t? SO, every Democrat who ever had a dream of being President is going to run. And, hasn’t everyone who has ever run for school board at some time daydreamed that it was just the first step in a skyrocket political career? The situation will sort itself out by debate time, but I would still expect to have to narrow the debaters down to the ten of so getting the best polls.
