An extremely obnoxious cousin of mine lived near us when I was a kid. The kind whose mom thought her little angel could do no wrong. I was invited to his 8th birthday party and mom insisted I go. She picked the present, a bag of 100 marbles. Never got another invitation, which suited me fine.
It just occurred to me that we have Patty here and Peppermint Patty in the later strips. Did Patty morph into PP, or are they separate characters and Patty just isn’t around in later strips?
Anyone else feeling like this inspired Rowling when she was writing the first Harry Potter book? Don’t even have to have read the books, it made it into the movies.
