This is a far cry from the much later years of the strip when Charlie Brown was so attached to Snoopy that he even refused to go dancing with a girl (Emily) if Snoopy couldn’t come along as well.

I guess Charlie Brown doesn’t own Snoopy yet. Snoop worships C.B. at this point. Until Charlie Brown puts his foot in it.
