Florida’s Rick Scott so narrowly won the Senate seat as did DeSantis over Gillum in the governors race. I still suspect there was some issues with the vote count as it was so close, but we’ll never know for sure despite the recount. Soon Floridians will find out they will have the same idiot as their new senator as they did have for governor who somehow can convince enough people how great he is and what he will do for them, at least while he’s not counting his own personal money he screwed so many out of before. As for DeSantis I lost any respect that I could have had for him with that horrible commercial about “building the wall” with his kid and other sucking up off of Trump. Floridians will soon find out once again 2 big mistakes they made and will pay for them dearly as both these guys will do nothing but work to advance their own personal careers or pocketbooks, or both!
Imagine having two public servants making the consensual, compromising decisions for the public instead of just one when the election results were 3% different or less. We should not have a system where a single vote can decide an election or block legislation for the entire public in a constitutional democratic republic for it is too easily corrupted and incentivizes the power-hungry.
That’s one explanation for the ballots appearing after voting closes: Republicans grab them and Democrats find them. Another is that Democrats hold the ballots until the vote is close and then “find” them, and they are mainly Democratic votes. Both require knowing what is on the ballots or at least suspecting. Doesn’t seem to matter unless close.
Wisconsin is so gerrymandered that there were 205,000 more votes for Democratic candidates that Republicans but the Repubs won 27 more seats. The moves the legislature and Walker are doing to limit the power of the incoming ELECTED leaders are appalling.
