I have roses around my house. They are a menace. they grow aggressively and the one by the front door-which keeps prowlers away- has to be regularly trimmed back in the summer so people can use the door. My wife jokes that it’s like living in a Dahl novel and she wishes my thumb wasn’t quite so green.
