I think he was a good and decent man one on one. When he was in power, Bush was the typical Republican and willing to inflict damage and harm on those who looked different than him.
He was kind to his kind, and decent as long as you don’t consider Kuwaitis or AIDS sufferers. But yeah, pretty mild mannered and certainly not the embarrassment of the current Administration. Which says more, imo about The Twit than it does about George HW.
I’ll always remember his administration letting a girl from one of the Arab royal families get up and lie under oath to Congress to help get his war started. They knew she was lying.
