In case anyone was interested in reading about scientists who have never seen the first ten minutes of any disaster movie, here’s a fun article: https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/23/health/sun-dimming-aerosols-global-warming-intl-scli/index.html
Also, please forgive the typo- it’s a bit frustrating not to be able to correct posted comics anymore.
Hmmm, filling the atmosphere with particles that dim the sun has been done before— whenever a huge volcanic eruption ocurred (see, for example, Krakatoa). I can’t say that was very good for the environment, or the world economy, on the balance.
I was assuming it was supposed to be “the latest innovative research around climate change.” One of my all-time favorite TPO episodes was the one where Hoover was Willy Wonka—and Willy DID have a great glass elevator. Fill it up with coal, blast off (it was obviously powered by environmentally friendly candy), and, when you get high enough, start spreading it around. It wouldn’t actually accomplish anything, of course, but it WOULD be fun to watch!

Amazing! The nitwits that came up with THIS loony idea have NO CLUE that doing that will INCREASE the warming effect, not lessen it…
