I have a friend whose birthday is Dec 7, so I always have to find something for both her birthday and Christmas. She is a HUGE Monkees fan and, today, I learned there is a new Monkees Christmas CD out with new tracks, including two recorded by Davy Jones before his death. So that takes care of two with one stone. (And, before anyone accuses me of being cheap, I also have tickets for the stage musical of Aladdin, she my gifts to her are well-covered.)

One of my brothers’ birthdays is today, December 1st. Another had his on December 28. He used to worry that people would forget it.
