The main problem is that retailers haven’t figured out how to monetise Thanksgiving, yet. Of course, “Thanksgiving” was only established as a holiday in 1863 so it’s still fairly young, yet. And certain “niche” markets DO make a ‘killing’ (pun intended), but on the whole the holiday is commercially, rather ignored.
Let me open up a can of worms here. I am wondering if this might be some sort of subtle (or not so subtle) reference to the recent statement by the NRA telling the AMA to “stay in their lane”?
