Facebook has 2.27 billion monthly active users, and lots of them are even real people. We really, really ‘like’ it.

That’s where cognitive dissonance (head trip) part comes in. Before Facebook, even the idea of posting, receiving, or ‘signing in’ with a device that is designed to steal all of your, your family’s, friends’, co-workers’ & acquaintances personal and confidential info would be unthinkable stupidity.

Since we ‘like’ Facebook, we can’t be hearing all that; none of the above can be true. Except that it is true.

Hackers, advertisers, foreign countries, police, enemies, employers, bankers, et al, can own your ‘face’ with the push of a button.

We cringed at the science fiction novels where your mind and thoughts were accessible, yet here we are … with most of the disadvantages and a smaller share of the advantages.

We love social media – but foreign governments have figured out how to use social media against us and the Republicans saw an opportunity to get votes out of it.
