Conway has been vocal about his distaste for his wife’s boss, he has been known to subtweet the resident and has said he regrets introducing his wife to Trump at all. And now, he’s helped to form a group for conservative and libertarian lawyers who argue Trump is undermining the rule of law.
Conway is a prominent Republican who supported Trump during the campaign. But he has a long history of fighting what he considers illegitimate assertions of power and privilege by presidents, and Trump’s efforts to avoid accountability has him as outraged as the rest of us.
