She’ll get a callback tomorrow. There’s no way the teacher who’s directing would encourage her to try out and then not give her a role, even if it’s just one line.

I am still wondering if she was already cast or might become director’s assistant, but another possibility is that the school has a grade point regulation for participation in extra curricular activities and she may be too weak in a topic.
