Senate vs House (with Comrade TRUMPovich McPutinpuppet astride the Senate canon?) — clearly Scott Stantis saw Trump’s tweet-tantrum about using the senate to offset any investigations by the House.
Note to the fake “president”: Sorry, Donnie, but you will not be Senate Majority Leader and YOU will NOT decide Senate investigations. Mitch McConnell is the Senate Majority Leader and he knows how to read election results.
The Senate had 35 seats up for grabs; the Democrats were defending 29 and held most of them plus a pick-up. More important, there were TEN MILLION MORE VOTES for Democratic Senate candidates last night (due to larger margins and larger states where they did win).
In 2020, it will be reversed. It will be REPUBLICANS who are defending the most seats — INCLUDING McCONNELL who is up for re-election in 2020 — and he can read the tea leaves.
McConnell is evil, but he is not stupid and he is not going to jeopardize the Senate with frivolous investigations of multiple, scattered targets, whereas Democrats in the House have ONE TARGET and their “probable cause” to justify investigations will be compelling.
In the House, the Democrats had a LARGER PERCENTAGE GAIN to pick up 28 seats than the Republican Tea Party gain of 63 seats in 2010, but the difference is the gerrymandering. With Colorado and Michigan passing anti-gerrymandering laws by initiative last night, and many governorships (who will have to approve redistricting maps) of red states turning blue, gerrymandering after the 2020 census will be much more difficult.
Trump or his people are already realigning for the new paradigm of not having 100% govt under one party’s control. Now they have 75% and are far from defeated. As long as the Reich Wingers can keep things the way they are where their minority can win over the majority through chicanery and other illegal acts they still have a chance of winning back if people think this is all they need to do. We need to be as dedicated as they are in voting. Every election no matter how small they vote.
Okay, Mueller, we’ve waited long enough. I’m sure you’ve had plenty of time to get Il Douche sized for an orange jumpsuit. Let’s get on with it already!
Bad as Hillary is Trump was the worst of the 2 and he has been very busy. The firing of Sessions was not unexpected. Watch carefully as the slow death of the republic continues by the corrupt head of the snake.
