Matthew Whitaker must not be allowed to have authority over the investigation:
1. He is not legally qualified because he has never passed any Senate confirmation for any office. An interim “acting” cabinet level officer does not need to have been confirmed for the interim position, but they have to at least have a confirmation in their past, which Whitaker does not; he was appointed ONLY because he has expressed opinions hostile to Mueller and the investigation in the past. (Constitution, Article II Section 2)
2. Whitaker’s past written opinions opposing Mueller and the investigation create a conflict of interest requiring recusal, even if he were qualified to be “acting” Attorney General (which he is not), but Whitaker has stated he will not recuse himself.
