Because the trump has both the house and senate republicans by the short hairs.. it has come down to a binary choice. And.. sadly more of the same is a dangerous gamble.. if trump gets even a close win.. you ain’t seen nothing yet.
One party wants inclusion the other has exclusion as the main part of their philosophy. The problem with political “purity” exclusion is that the “in group” gets smaller and smaller …
Our county commissioners are “non-partisan”, thus we ended up with two, well, right-wingnuts equally damaging on the ballot. As with some partisans running for Congress, the “none of the above” might sound nice, but really doesn’t buy us anything.
Unfortunately, they don’t show the back of the machine where both levers register as the same vote. They might have different names, but in the end voting for either has the same results. What’s funny is I have a Senator that is “tilting at windmills.” She claims to be fighting for the little guy, but is taking on issues that SHE knows there is no chance of making a change, instead of working on issues we can make a difference on.
“I mean, they’re not gonna kill ya, so if you give ‘em a quick short, sharp, shock, they won’t do it again. Dig it? I mean he get off lightly, ‘cause I would’ve given him a thrashing – I only hit him once! It was only a difference of opinion, but really…I mean good manners don’t cost nothing do they, eh?”

From Pink & Floyd:
Haven’t you heard it’s a battle of words
The poster bearer cried
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There’s room for you inside
