So, if these all came from the same place (Mars??), why is it that there are so many radically different body types (tetrapod, hexapod, octapod) in animals that otherwise seem similar…as opposed to the differences between spiders or crabs and mammals or reptiles? This same issue bugged me about Avatar…every animal except the dominant, intelligent species, was hexapod.
It was bad enough when Tarzan brought home souvenirs from the places he’s been. Now he has to deal with something that he brought home from somewhere that he hadn’t been.
