Took me years before I realized they were shouting “fore” and not “four” …and I still think it’s a weird warning.
They used to yell, “Hey, you there. Turn about and cast your eye to the heavens in anticipation of an an unexpected projectile hurtling towards your noggin.” But, it took too long.
