I agree totally that gerrymandering should be outlawed. That way we can go back to how it was before the ‘one man, one vote’ ruling that created the gerrymandering in the first place. Used to be we knew which district we were in based on county lines or similar. Now they change every few years to get racial balance. Do not blame this on the Republicans, they just took advantage of what was forced on them by the courts. Same way with our school districts, neighborhood schools are a thing of the past. Now our children now have to ride by two schools to get to the one they are assigned to. Yup, I am all for outlawing gerrymandering.
Now that the Supreme Court is packed with Republicans, none of the cheating that Republicans have been developing over the past 20 years or so will be disallowed. Every election from this point on will be compromised, more so with each election, since every challenge to Republican cheating will be allowed not only in the state that is doing it, but by every other state. Republican ideas are not in line with the opinions of the majority of American voters. They can only win by lying and cheating, so they have become very good at it.
