One gas pipeline in Canada springs a leak, and suddenly the whole US gasoline product goes up 20-30 cents a gallon overnight? Not only do the “energy” companies intend to let the planet die for their immediate profits, they cheat the people at any opportunity to increase the profit from their destruction. Been that way since shortly after WW II, and of course there’s those railroads that got free land to build, along with the mineral estate they kept, and now we’ve got lousy railroads, and richer oil/gas/“railroad” corporations.
