Fox IS a propaganda arm for the Republicans – when Ailes first conceived of it while working for Nixon, he called it “GOP news”.
The media is corporate-owned so the myth of the liberal media is silly.
Jesters throughout history were the ones that pointed out the truth about leaders. Every president deals with it. The difference is the amount of vile garbage that Trump spews gives them so much more to work with.
Colbert mirrors his audience. They (including me) were horrified at the election of trump. Colbert speaks to that horror, relentlessly exposing the regressive idiocy. This comedy does not change people’s minds. It reinforces original opinions and mocks trump and the rest of the regressives relentlessly. It’s comic relief like Bottom in A Midsummer Nights Dream providing sly, but entirely true counterpoint to the national tragedy that’s been unfolding before us.
You know, that evil bastard Colbert and his diabolical coven of writers just published a satirical “children’s book” which was, per Amazon, the fourth- best-selling book in the US. And they’re donating their rather sizeable royalties to hurricane victims assistance. That’s a much greater personal gift than is coming from Trump, Kavanaugh, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley, Lindsey Graham, and a certain pain of a cartoonist combined. Some people talk a loud game. More decent people play a good game.

People mock fox news as being a propaganda arm for republicans but isn’t that exactly what Colbert, Kimmel, The Daily Show, etc. are for the left?

Trump actually told his minions that the Democrats don’t presume innocence. Then they all chanted Lock ’er UP!

Jerk Republicans are vicious winners.

If he wants to be funnier, perhaps Payne should hire one of Colbert’s writers ….

Um. What?
Oh, right. This is a Henry Payne cartoon: It isn’t SUPPOSED to be topical or make sense. Where is the car?
