Our first television was a Zenith B&W tube set ( about 15"). My dad was still in the military and we lived in a house trailer.The TV was on a shelf above the refrigerator facing the living room area.The heat near the ceiling eventually caused the main circuit board of the TV to crack and it died.That was in the late 1950’s.

Usually with TV’s that old, the only type of remote then could only change the channels and it was not cordless.
