    @Fairportfan2 - George Reeves would actually duck the thrown (prop) gun. Poor guy had more than one reason to flinch, as it turned out.

    If you do play Superman, chances are your name will be a variation on “Reeve”. George Reeves, Chris Reeve, Keanu Reeves (pseudo-Superman in The Matrix)…

    This reminds me (tangentially) of Frank Miller’s Elektra. Whenever she’d stab someone in the chest with her sai, the backs of their shirts would tent out (Miller being either unable or unwilling to show the blades going all the way through the body). So I think it was in “What Th…?” that they ran a cartoon of Elektra dying on the ground, after Bullseye had protected himself from her attack by holding in front of himself the one thing that her weapons could not penetrate - the back of someone’s shirt.
