Our current policy of post-mortem thoughts and prayers does not seem to be decreasing the threat of random shootings. It is unfortunate that our Congress to too busy with hyperpartisan issues to collaborate/compromise with all its members to draft legislation that protects the rights of both gun owners and people in public places.
Heard a great poem today from a teacher who posed a question to his students. Unfortunately I can only paraphrase a little of it: “To do nothing is to say we are ok with things as they are. Is that acceptable to you? I am met with only silence. "
Well, it’s obvious there’s nothing WE can do to make life better for people in America so we might as well just hope and pray that Someone will do it for us.

^ Besides, trying to do anything ourselves would take effort and stuff. Can’t have that.
