I love how right wing and corporate establishment media all focus on “the economy” while ignoring economic indicators such as employee wages or the wealth gap. Most people aren’t seeking employment in the “gig economy” because they enjoy it. They do it because they need the money. That doesn’t bode well for the economy in the long term. And despite incentives for corporate insiders and the media to focus on the short term, it’s the long term that will f—k over the lower and middle classes.
