For any farmers who opposed Comrade TRUMPski, my heart goes out to you. For the farmers — especially the massive, mechanized corporate agricultural conglomerates — who supported Comrade TRUMPski but are now facing massive losses, playing the smallest violin I can possibly find.
China as well as our closest allies in Canada and Europe are not stupid. They are certainly far smarter than TRUMPski. They are playing three-dimensional chess while TRUMPski’s handlers are trying to stop their toddler from swallowing the checkers pieces.
They have established retaliatory tariffs in response, but those tariffs have been targeted to punish the states that voted for Comrade TRUMPski. We’ll see how it plays out in November.
And there are some that still believe that listening to well-informed, expert advice and compromising is not as good as heeding the gut-feelings of an obstinate, “strong” leader.

Honestly, I would be willing to bet there are some farmers who still believe his grift.

I imagine Trump has advisors for such matters, but unless he listens to them they’re useless.

Never happen, they will support Trump if they have to live under a bridge.

I think it’s more like “Forever Trump” for most of them.

Too bad all that bail-out money to fix his stupid ideas went to corporate farms and not to mom and pop farms who blindly voted for Trump.
