Those of us who have been paying attention to Donald John Trump, have been more than cognizant of his myriad failings, all along, but the Helsinki spectacle brings home the point, better than most, that Donnie is a corrosive influence on both America and the world, and is actively and energetically at work destroying America’s influence and even it’s “good name” around the globe.
Donnie has never had a reputation to defend, and, as a matter of fact, seems to be rather proud of his reputation as a grifter and a deadbeat and small-time charlatan in the business world from whence he came, he has never, and, in all probability, never WILL understand that in politics, “Reputation” is important and, in statesmanship, “Reputation” is paramount!
He has NO reputation to defend and he is well on his way to destroying America’s reputation on a global basis.
I understand that the “supporters” of Donald John Trump really have NO interest in maintaining our stature in the world! After all, what do they care what Europe or Asia think of us – they have “no clue” as to how their jobs (even flipping ’burgers at McDonalds), is tied to the global economy.
And their idea of a long trip is crossing the county line to buy booze so their neighbors and their minister won’t see them as ‘drunks’! So the probability of them encountering anyone who’s not exactly like them is relatively minor.
They are absolutely convinced, with a thoroughly disquieting certainty, that the rest of the world is “out to get” America, and only by voting for morons, idiots & imbeciles like Donnie and the rest of his Russian co-conspirators in Congress are they protecting America from “insensate evil” as described by Ralphie in “A Christmas Story”.
