At one time I was driving in a car with my girlfriend, both of us avid readers, and we were trying to think of just the right word to describe a concept that we both had in our heads but couldn’t quite nail down to a specific term. When it finally came to us, we both burst out laffing at the irony. It was “inarticulate”.
Interestingly (?), I really was described that way by a girl I knew well who did not much like me. I took it in stride. And I’m not even a writer (at least, not the type of writer Monty is trying to be)….
