This is a very disingenuous comic. We don’t want open borders, we just want decent treatment of our fellow human beings. ICE itself doesn’t need to go, but its current actions and lack of any empathy needs to be looked at, as well as its recruiting methods. Heartless thugs need to be removed and replaced with decent people.
I dunno. People come to the US seeking a new home. Is it moral for us to not allow anyone in? Can a moral person leave out people in need because of fear?
The GOP is trying to turn ‘Abolish ICE’ into wanting open borders, which is not what Pcan is saying. He is calling for reforms that will prevent children from being taken from their parents for the “crime” of fleeing violence.
Fact: ICE is not responsible for protecting the border.
Fact: ICE is a fairly new agency in our government.
Fact: The very phrase ‘open borders’ was concocted by racists who are desperately trying to preserve a white majority in the US.

I don’t want “open borders”. I just want immigrants to be allowed to reach the office where they can fill out an application for asylum.
