When you have a party that used to be called the Republican Party and now should be called the Trumplican party because it’s headed by the resident who has the least moral character in the history of our government….. How can you expect that party to have any ethical moral values?

The end — rewriting American history such we are a white “Christian” theocracy instead of a secular democratic republic — justifies the means, in the mindless, heartless, gut feelings of the evangelical “Christian” “Republicans” who have forgiven all past, present, and future transgressions of the resident as he follows their extremist, reinterpretation of their “bible”.

Isn’t it funny that the party of the “Christian America so called followers of Jesus” are so morally corrupt? Or maybe not. Maybe that’s just pure poetry that the “righteous ones” are so awful.

Republicans have no sense of social responsiblity. They hated Social Security and Medicare since the beginning and have done their best to destroy them.

Republicans have destroyed the social contracts and entitlements people worked for.

Republicans borrowed 1.5 trillion to give to their rich friends and then claim the budget has no money and all social programs must be eliminated.

You could eliminate the Republicans in November by voting.

Trump is a racist liar and thief, if Dems win in November impeachment proceedings could begin.

Trump never has had empathy or morals. His base know this and voted for him anyway. We are being governed by the lowest common denominator.

With only 70% of eligible voters registering, Clinton had the support of only 29.2% of eligible voters and the loser of the popular vote had only 27.9% … hardly what you would expect in a democratic republic.

While today’s is a warning worth making, it is also worth noting that “the moral universe” is outside the purview of any human and not subject to whims or agendas any more that the laws of physics are. It just takes a little longer for the reaction to set in than for, say, gravity, but is no less sure.

The good Doctor King’s “Arc” was never supposed to be the "Four-lane divided Highway to better times! The only “smooth, paved road” extant is the one leading downward (and the ‘pavement’ is sometimes referred to as “good intentions”)

Sometime soon after the era of “Tricky Dick” the Republican’s mantra degenerated to, “Whatever It Takes…” and it’s been that way, ever since. The Republicans have had no “moral compass” since Nixon! The words they spew, however, until the coming of Trump, have wrapped themselves in the APPEARANCE of law-and-order and moral probity. Donnie, like Toto, has pulled the ‘curtain’ aside, giving the horrified populace a really good view of “what is actually pulling” the strings of America.

Donald John Trump is a loathsome, disgusting individual- but even HE has served a purpose – that of showing America just what the Republican Party really looks like and what they REALLY stand for. And if the roiling mass of pus and maggots ts hard to view, at least it’s an honest picture.

To be fair, Republicans of the party as it existed in my youth (1950’s and 60’s) hasn’t existed in a while. The fiscal restraint Republicans, that were hanging on for dear life in an uneasy alliance with socials conservatives, have pretty well jumped ship at this point, and many are calling for the dissolution of the party by voting Democratic as the only way to force formation of a responsible conservative voice.

“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice” – Martin Luther King Jr. We are active participants in bending the arc of the moral universe, but we don’t know what we’re bending it toward. How the GOP is defining “justice” will determine the work that they do to achieve it. And unless we can define “justice,” we might never get to again.

Funny how Trump is forgiven, but Bill Clinton wasn’t. Did Rethuglicans ever forgive Obama for being Black?
