Forgot about the central valley. They tend to be a fair bit more conservative than the cities. They tend to see things quite differently than the city folks.
They forgot the the state of Jefferson contingent….. You would think that if they want more States, they could give statehood to Puerto Rico, the American Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam… and even though it is an unincorporated unorganized territory they could give American Samoa statehood. The residents of Puerto Rico, the American Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam are born American citizens and they pay taxes just like the rest of us. I’m not sure if American Samoans (they are considered Nationals but not citizens… I think that’s unfair) pay taxes, I think they do, I remember being told that they do, so I think they should all be treated like tax paying American citizens. Maybe the president would treat them better if they had the right to vote in presidential elections.

Really, this “movement” is just an advanced form of Republican gerrymandering…
