You can tell that this isn’t realistic: The people in the cartoon getting disenfranchised are all white.

Jeeze, Don’t give the Republicans any MORE ideas on how to rig the elections!

Isn’t the point of a republic to increase the people’s representation … how does this do that?

“… that looks like junk mail so you’ll probably chuck it”. Yep. That’s a feature, not a bug.

I do wonder just how much impact this will have. If people really haven’t voted in multiple elections (which I’m not convinced is always the case), then it won’t matter that they’re not registered.

Use it or loose it. It works for marriages (consumation is prerequisite for validation) too. Jut imagine if you lived in Australia, Belgium or Greece ! You would be fined for not voting.

Vote by mail. Oregon gets 80% on average.

Too many young voters haven’t had the benefit of even a high-school civics class. Explain to the young people you know why midterm elections are important. Help young people register to vote.

Perhaps they ought to enact a law that makes it illegal to purge a voter from the polls without a death certificate. Don’t you think it’s insulting that they can get away with purging voters from lists because they don’t happen to like that particular voters political Outlook????

Don’t read this if you’ve already read it before on another page.. protect our political op-ed cartoonists even if you don’t agree with their view of the world. Actually it works this way. We need the cartoonists to give us a larger scope on the world we live in ……whatever this subject maybe today or tomorrow or the next day. Please don’t let anyone gag our op-ed cartoonists.

Huey Long once quipped: “When I die, I want to be buried in Louisiana, so I can stay active in politics.” It was well known throughout the 20th century that Democrats were masters at rigging elections. In Chicago the Daley machine, in Texas LBJ has his methods, in Louisiana the dead voted — and in other Democratic strongholds the political machine delivered for their bosses. The goal of today’s voter I.D. laws and related rules is to help eliminate fraud… So you guys quit bellyaching when governments demand some proof that voters are who they say they are. Jeeez — go back to worrying about Russia conspiracies and Stormy Daniels. That’s more your speed.
