It is unfair to The Ohio State University, and it’s president Gordon Gee, to suggest that they are all about the money when it was Gordon Gee who was one of the loudest opponents of a Division I playoff system being instituted when it would mean billions in revenue for the various universities who would be participating in such a playoff. If it was all about the money then we would already have a football tournament.

..As an [O.H.!] Ohio State fan,it isn’t all about the money. It’s about getting the fans off their money.Tressel, lose your bowl game and more fans than you can shake a stick at will be calling for your head.Win the bowl game and the fans will only be wanting to know what you can do for them next year.

Semi-pro..er…college…football is very fickle, fan wise.Don’t graduate players, hire thugs..great…as long as you are winning….but dare you lose…by God,how dare you let players cheat on an on-line test!

A player’s major should be the sport he or her is playing. They can’t find a job afterwords in their profession…well..neither can Spanish majors, but at least they have a degree

..now shut up..don’t I look great in this new $50.00 Buckeye hoodie?…

I know you guys are from Texas, but you get OSU just right. As i suggested on my blog, I’m looking forward to a game against their natural cross-town rivals, Ohio Dominican. You can’t make this stuff up…. http://thebell.us/2010/11/college-football-today-ohio-states-gordon-gee-speaks/

I used to be righteously indignant about my tax money being wasted on farm teams for the NFL and NBA. The leagues should have to reimburse the schools for every player they hire and then some. But I guess mock warfare between designated warriors for these self-selected ‘village’ groups is better than the fans actually going and raiding the next town themselves.
