The new jobs are mostly in the low-paying temporary service industry. Even the NY Times article Lester posted the link to that said they didn’t know enough “good words” to say about the jobs reports had a picture of Help Wanted signs from restaurants. The stagnation for wages for existing jobs was another dark spot.

More jobs for less pay … Gasoline prices at two-yr high … health care premiums rising … Tired of winning, yet?

Trump’s tariffs will give the car the last push. Farm jobs, manufacturing firms that use specialty steels and aluminum, Grocery shoppers who are buying produce from Mexico will pay higher prices. Homes will cost more to build because lumber from Canada costs more. But Trump saved coal jobs and steel manufacturing jobs — Maybe 100,000 to 200,000 jobs saved at a huge cost to the economy and individual consumer. — Trump always gets a “great deal”

The most competitive economy does not produce the highest standard of living.

You’re NOT the world’s most competitive economy? You mean Trump has failed AGAIN?

sfcgator, inflation is up 2.5% which means that the pitiful 1.1% wage increase is a LOS in buying power.

Trump has NOTHING to do with a decrease in carbon emissions. He wants to bring back coal which will INCREASE CO2. The decrease in coal usage is because of the increase of use of natural gas and renewables.

Funny how increases in employment, etc. had nothing to do with Obama according to the RW but Trump gets credit for the sun coming up in the morning according to Trumpettes.
