Krazy Kat was a brilliant comic possibly ahead of it’s time – but something like that would never fly today. Not least because of the limits of the comics page in newspapers, although the internet would bring things that this classic artists could never have conceived of.

A very daring comic. Krazy was madly in love with Ignatz no matter how cruel he was, but it was never clear whether Krazy was a boy or a girl!
