occasionally some squirrel flits across the yard, tail flickering in the air, slams stops, attacks the base of a tree, grabs a twig, then rolls over and over with it like a spastic kitten with a ball of string, That goes on for whole minutes, then it runs a few feet up the tree, and reverses, and repeats the ‘stick dance’. Always enjoy it but wonder where it gets the booze or whatever sets it off. Maybe it was just because spring had arrived.

last week we saw seven squirrels playing together. It was quite entertaining.
