I believe the first amendment stuff only applies to public venues and as this place is a private entity can exercise standards of conduct they deem to fit their model, much like when you are at someone’s private home where they frown on swearing and so if they are people you care about, give them their due.Not to pry too deeply… With all the destruction of the functionality of this place in the last two years why are you still on Insider status ?
You would think that if you are paying for the service, certain protections would apply to you. That being said, this place is obviously run by millennials and we are treated with the respect that they think we deserve. As for why I am an “insider”, two reasons, first, I hate the ads, and second, they renew it automatically and I’m too lazy to change the setting.
Yesterday I got a phone call from a Washington, DC area code with a computer voice saying it was the IRS. They had filed an arrest warrant against me and I should call the number back immediately. I laughed all the way through the message.
The IRS doesn’t call Americans on the phone.Ever. They send their men in black to your door! Second, my taxes are paid in full. No sweat. This was an obvious and hopeful scam, probably originating in eastern Europe or Russia targeting the elderly.
Unfortunately, a telemarketer that calls and hangs up called soon after using a spoofed local number. I had had enough and texted an obscene message back. I got an answer from the real person at that phone number!
