However much we want it, ( and Trump deserves it ) he is never going to see the inside of a prison. The best we can hope for is that he gets kicked out of office and lives out the rest of his days in disgrace.
In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the president is entitled to absolute immunity from liability for civil damages based on his official acts. The court emphasized that the president is not immune from criminal charges stemming from his official or unofficial acts while in office.
A New York appeals court has rejected a request from Trump to stay proceedings in a defamation suit filed by a former contestant on The Apprentice who has claimed that he sexually harassed her. The gathering of evidence known as “discovery” can move forward as both parties await a ruling on the appeal. Zervos’ complaint says she suffered almost $3000 in financial losses and “pleads these special damages in the event that a court should determine that she is required to plead special damages as an element of her claim.” In seeking relief from the court, Zervos is asking that Trump be ordered to pay compensatory damages and punitive damages in amounts to be determined at trial and that Trump retract any and all defamatory statements and/or apologize for such statements.
High crimes and misdemeanors, revealed to the House after investigations (Mueller), are cause for impeachment, and upon probable cause be sent over to the Senate for trial and potential removal from office.
It’s too soon to talk about impeachment. We just don’t know what Mueller’s investigation will show. But it’s not too early to say that Trump is corrupt and incompetent.
The only problem with the idea of “Presidential Immunity” as a concept is that it is predicated on the idea that the President is ACTUALLY innocent of the charges being hurled at him. Donald John Trump is a “whole ’nuther deal”!
The thought of Donnie Scumbag tRump going to prison and having to share a cell with violent criminals is what I dream of every night. It just puts a big smile on my face.

Y’all understand, I hope, that Clinton volunteered to be questioned. Essentially waived his right to immunity.
