This was a long time in coming. At least since the late 1970’s did he learn from a “friend” about the drugging and raping of women as a technique. Too bad he wasn’t caught then and stopped. He might have had a different life as would all the women he raped and nearly raped. No real winners here. But he must be punished for his crimes.
@Martin: What you’re saying might be true except the vast number of women saying the same thing then there has to be a very good reason besides money and name recognition.
I know that not everybody on a comic strip forum can be intelligent (and sane), but Martin’s comment just might be the most idiotic and lunatic it has ever been my misfortune to encounter.
You’re right, Martin is definitely a nut-job but I don’t take any joy in Cosby’s conviction either. This was a man I looked up to. I enjoyed his acting and comedy and thought he was a shining example of what a man of any color should aspire to be. I also was proud of him for shining the light on men who failed to take their responsibilities as husbands and fathers seriously. But alas that was all a lie because underneath it all was a man who used his celebrity and power to sexually assault women and bully them into keeping quiet. I cannot even express how much this all saddens me and how much I feel for all of his victims and all those who have been victimized by other men. It is time to put shame on all of the predators and bring them to justice and not just the high profile ones. Everyone should feel empowered by this and work together to bring about the change we need as a society.

Cosby’s behavior is what unravelled Cosby. Don’t blame anyone else.
