The teacher’s got a good point. Subtle, but good. February’s stolen days went to July (Julius Caesar) and August (Augustus Caesar), which occur later than June, so June did move up a couple* of days as a result.
With that logic, why not just make June, July, and August have 100 days each. Then summer vacation would last 82% of the calendar year. (Add weekends and holidays, the school year is about 45 days long.)
