The real oddity here is why there would be any point in a weiner dog sitting down.
Reminds me of when Snoopy wanted his dog food served cafeteria style, in more than one dish.
That position has to be a tremendous strain on his neck. Hope he lifts his head when he goes to swallow the food, else he might choke.

I had a dog who always laid down when eating, since he was a puppy. Don’t know why. Did it all his life. Some dogs are just different.
My dog couldn’t inhale his dinner if he was lying down. He spins in a circle while I’m getting it ready and when I put it down he just dives in! I don’t think he even tastes it.
