All the ‘bravery’ from Republican legislators is from ones who are not running — and even they vote for every appointment and every piece of legislation.
And, not a peep about closing down investigations because ‘no evidence’.
Exactly. A Republican occasionally sputters out an illusion of opposition, then they all vote for what Trump wants anyway. Because it’s what they want.
A reminder of just how wrong Trump apologists were
Trump could neither hire nor heed the advice of “very best people” on his staff or Cabinet. The pusillanimous Congress was never going to challenge him. But here’s the thing: By removing the GOP majority in Congress, the country can mitigate — not eliminate — Trump’s increasingly unhinged conduct. To get the institutional check that Republicans such as House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) promised, it seems, they need to be stripped of that majority.
he better not fire Mueller, but there was nothing to find. So he could fire him, but why would an innocent person fire the investigator? But the Republicans didn’t find anything, so why is there still an investigation? It is so hard to only look at half of the facts and come up with a reasonable explanation to what Trump is doing.
It occurred to me that the majority of the Republicans in Congress who aren’t saying anything are sitting mute knowing he’s going to hang himself. That way they can piously sit back and put the swamp back together without having to dirty their hands. They think.

It’s sad to think that in November and then again in 2020, 2022, and 2024, the choices will be to vote for a Republican, or a REAL American.

You know, of course, that Trump is like my first husband. Telling him NOT to do something is the quickest and most effective way to get him TO do it.

They haven’t faced the reality of Trump.
