These are the good ol’ days;Just wait …And see.

As the Poet of New York once noted, “the Good Ol’ Days weren’t always good and tomorrow ain’t as bad as it seems.”

Let’s see…. Americans fighting in a war that nobody wanted to fight and would eventually lose, a president resigning rather than stand on trial for obstruction of justice, long, long gas lines due to the OPEC oil embargo not once but twice, rampant inflation and unemployment, Americans being held hostage for weeks upon weeks by rogue middle eastern college students…. nah! The 1970’s were definitely not the “good ole days”! But there sure was a lot of great music that was created then!

My grandfather use to say, “Things ain’t like they used to be, and they never was!”

Amen Ziggy! But as a cartoon character, you don’t age.

I’m experiencing the good OLD days now. It’s the good young days that are receding.
