I work for a financial advisor, and we’re always getting calls from mutual fund companies to “sell” their stuff. I always take a detailed message…then toss it. My boss saw me do this yesterday and I explained, “If I take a message, they’ll wait forever for a reply. They tend to not call back.” My boss loved it.

which is why I don’t bother to answer 2/3 of the phone calls that come on my cell or house phone!

Woud the telemarketer mispronounced his name into something like Gerfled Errbinkle? Is the job of a cat toy telemarketer outsourced to Abu Dhabi? So. Many.Questions.
