It is an appalling violation of civil rights.
It is being administered by a bunch of unprofessional, ill-trained tin tyrants who can’t spot things at more than chance level anyway (so sayeth their own studies)
It is pointless, since you can still roll a shipping truck right to the plane. The first thing we should have done is X-ray all bags, not all passengers, and instead the Bush Administration and the TSA went for “security theater.” Do we really need to search pilots for Swiss Army knives? Really?
It is a HUGE waste of time, resources, and money better devoted to more effective methods of preventing terrorist attacks, since the 9/11 approach will never happen again, and we have proof: no one expects to be flown to Cuba anymore, and the last time someone appeared to be trying to take over a plane he was tackled and beaten by the passengers!

My primary concern was the original decision to pursue “security theater” instead of sensible efforts, but to your point – and with no sarcasm at all – I am happy to hammer Obama for his share of blame for continuing the original bad “security theater” policy and maintaining the bloated nonsense that is the TSA, as well as implementing this specific policy, which is, as I said, appalling and useless.
I think Obama gets Fs for his continuation of torture, imprisonment of terrorism suspects without recourse, and domestic spying policy as well. Bush started it – but Obama ran to stop it and restore civil rights, and has therefore doubly failed.
